IC-A25NE/CE
The IC-A25NE is the latest development in
airband radio technology featuring built-in Bluetooth, GPS and significant
VOR navigation functions. Featuring 6 watts of output power, this
stylish modern design, easy-to-use interface and large 2.3-inch
LCD combine to provide stress-free programming and easy in-flight
operation. The handheld includes a large 2350mAh Li-ion battery,
providing longer operating time.
The IC-A25NE stores the last ten channels used. You can easily recall
those channels by using the directional keys or the channel knob
or the keypad. This is convenient for switching between several
channels, such as NAV and COM channels. You can also freely edit
(replace, delete, and change order) the stored recall channels).
The CDI (Course Deviation Indicator) is detailed like a real VOR
instrument; showing any deviation from your course.
The OBS (Omni Bearing Selector) allows you to change course from
the original flight plan.
The TO-FROM indicator shows the position relationship between your
aircraft and the course selected by the OBS.
The ABSS (Automatic Bearing Set System) function enables you to
set the current course of a new course in two simple steps.
The near station search function assists you in accessing nearby
ground stations. The function searches for nearby stations using
the station memories with the GPS position information. To use the
near station search function, location data and frequencies of the
ground station must be programmed.
Alternatively, the IC-A25CE offers just communications without the
NAV functions.

IC-A120B
The Icom IC-A120B VHF Airband Ground to Air Base Station radio provides
quality ground to air communications from an office or air traffic
control room tower. Housed in a smart, compact enclosure (133mm x
185mm x 200mm, HxWxD) with its own power supply, this base station
is an ideal solution for airfields and local airports to keep in communication
with incoming/outgoing aircraft.
The IC-A120B is already pre-tuned with 8.33kHz/25kHz channel spacing,
meaning you are able to free tune across the frequencies.
No extra room needed as the power supply unit is built into the enclosure
with the radio.
Simple arrow buttons to the side of the user screen for channel selection/frequency
and function buttons underneath allow for an easy to use interface.
The IC-A120B can be programmed by an authorised Icom dealer to allow
single channel operation if an airfield/local airport only use one
frequency.
The IC-A120B has 200 memory channels to store often used frequencies
with 12-character channel name. With a high contrast dot matrix display,
operating channels can be selected quickly and recognized easily.
You can instantly program memory channels without requiring PC programming. |

IC-A220T
The IC-A220T is Icom’s next generation 8.33kHz air band panel
mount transceiver. The long awaited successor to the manufacturer's
celebrated IC-A200, which was hugely popular with pilots, is now TSO
/ ETSO approved* and available for sale. The new IC-A220T provides
effective radio communication in the air and features a slim stylish
design, bright white display, enhanced squelch control and easy installation
for pilots.
*Further information about TSO/ETSO approval:-
The IC-A220T radio is TSO certified for a Class 23 (CS-23A) fixed
wing aircraft - Normal Category airplane 1494 registered in the UK
as of 1st Jan 2016. Following an agreement between EASA and the FAA,
from the 2nd March 2016, each organisation now mutually recognises
TSO/ETSO approvals for certain aircraft products, which includes VHF
radio communications equipment. In Europe there is no longer a requirement
for a manufacturer to separately approve a piece of equipment that
holds a TSO; the equipment can be installed and used as if it has
the corresponding EASA approval. Further details on the scheme are
on the EASA website. |
